About Legacy educators
Helping students and the village
that supports them.
We provide engaging programs and services for students, parents, teachers, school administrators, and community youth advisors to help them understand and overcome barriers to college enrollment and graduation. Our primary focus is on helping students embrace a mindset for success, identify and activate their strengths, develop resilience, and seek support systems that can help them navigate situations outside of their comfort zones.

Educational Insights from Legacy Educators
It takes a village to get a child from pre-school to college. Those of us who are part of someone’s village – whether as a parent, educator, youth advisor, or community leader - recognize the many challenges we face trying to create environments in which our children can thrive in their educational pursuits. Although many of us experience success along the way, we also have moments of frustration and disappointment and times when we feel overwhelmed and unprepared to handle the challenges our children face along their educational journeys. The benefit of being part of a village of caring individuals is that we all have strengths, which if shared with one another, can help us develop strategies for overcoming obstacles and challenges. As the world mourns the tragic loss of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and seven other passengers of the fated helicopter that crashed near Calabasas, California on January 26, it occurs to me that we are so fortunate that part of Kobe’s legacy to us is his spirit for living that is best captured in the infamous Mamba Mentality.
